Free Multiplayer Games

Play with friends — online with a room code or invite link, or shoulder to shoulder on one screen. Free in your browser.

GameVolt's multiplayer games need no accounts, no apps and no friend lists. Online games work with a simple 4-character room code: one player creates a room, the other types the code — or just taps an invite link — and you're playing together in real time across any devices. Prefer the couch? Several games offer classic same-screen multiplayer too.

Play Multiplayer Games Free — No Accounts, No Apps

Most online multiplayer means installing a launcher, making an account and adding friends. GameVolt skips all of it: our online games connect two players with nothing but a room code. One player hits Create Room and gets a 4-character code; the other types it in — or opens the invite link — and the match starts. It works between any devices: phone against laptop, tablet against desktop.

Real-Time and Turn-Based

Gridburn is real-time: two light cycles ride at once, both screens perfectly in sync, and one wrong turn ends the round. Connect 4 is turn-based: drop your disc, watch your friend think. Both use best-of series and in-room rematches, so a quick game turns into a proper session.

Couch Multiplayer Still Counts

Sometimes the best multiplayer is one screen and two players. Asteroid Storm has full co-op with two ships on screen, and Type or Die runs hot-seat typing races. Gridburn and Connect 4 both offer local 2-player on one device too — same keyboard or two gamepads.

More Multiplayer Coming

Gridburn's online engine — deterministic lockstep over room codes — was built to be reused, so more real-time multiplayer games are on the way. Follow the news page for launches.
