How to Play Solitaire
Solitaire is the timeless card game collection that has been a favourite for generations. The goal varies by variant, but the core idea is always the same: sort and move cards according to specific rules to clear the table or build complete foundations from Ace to King.
Drag cards between columns to reveal hidden cards, build sequences in alternating colors, and move completed suits to the foundations. Each of the six variants brings its own twist on the classic formula, so there's always a fresh challenge waiting.
The Six Games
-
KlondikeThe classic. Build four foundation piles from Ace to King by suit, using alternating-color descending sequences on the tableau.
-
FreeCellAll cards are dealt face-up. Use four free cells as temporary storage to strategically move cards to the foundations.
-
SpiderTwo decks, eight columns. Build descending sequences of the same suit and clear them from the table.
-
PyramidRemove pairs of cards that add up to 13. Clear the entire pyramid to win.
-
TriPeaksClear three peaks by selecting cards one higher or lower than the top of the waste pile. Build long chains for bonus points.
-
GolfA fast-paced game of clearing all columns to the waste pile. Play cards one rank higher or lower regardless of suit.
Tips and Strategy
In Klondike, always reveal face-down cards before drawing from the stock. In FreeCell, keep your free cells open as long as possible — they're your most valuable resource. Spider rewards patience: focus on building same-suit sequences whenever you can.
For Pyramid, plan your pairings ahead. Removing the right cards early opens up more options later. In TriPeaks and Golf, aim for long chains to rack up bonus points and clear the board efficiently.
