How to Play Connect 4
Connect 4 is a two-player strategy game played on a vertical 7-column, 6-row grid. Players take turns dropping colored discs into columns. The disc falls to the lowest available position in that column. The first player to get four of their discs in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — wins the game.
It sounds simple, but the strategy runs deep. Block your opponent while building your own connections. Control the center columns for maximum flexibility. Set up "traps" where you have two possible ways to win on a single move — forcing your opponent into an impossible choice.

Strategy Tips
The center column is the most powerful position on the board. Discs placed there participate in the most possible four-in-a-row combinations, so try to claim the center early. Watch for diagonal threats — they're the hardest to spot and the most common way to lose.
When you have three in a row with an open space on both ends, you've created an unblockable win. Learning to set up these "double threats" is the key to beating stronger opponents and climbing the leaderboard.
